There’s something pretty special about putting a shovel in the ground and knowing what’s coming next.
Unison Credit Union recently celebrated the official groundbreaking of our seventh location, coming to Menasha in 2027. Surrounded by our Board of Directors, employees, community leaders, elected officials, and project partners, we celebrated much more than the start of construction. We celebrated the start of a new chapter for Unison and what we hope will be a long, meaningful relationship with the Menasha community.
“For us, this is about much more than adding another location,” said Mark Hietpas, President and CEO of Unison Credit Union. “It’s about investing in our future, serving our members and becoming part of a community. We want to build relationships here and be a partner Menasha can count on.”
More Than a New Building
When the Menasha location opens, it will officially become Unison’s seventh branch, an exciting milestone in our continued growth.
But as Mark shared during the groundbreaking, buildings aren’t what make a credit union successful. People do.
It’s the members who trust us with their financial lives. It’s the employees who serve those members every day. It’s our Board of Directors and Leadership Team who believe in Unison’s mission and future. And it’s the community partners who give us opportunities to live out the credit union philosophy of people helping people.
That philosophy has taken on even greater meaning as we’ve gotten to know Menasha.
Following the devastating tornado that impacted the community, we witnessed neighbors helping neighbors, businesses stepping up, volunteers giving their time, and an entire community coming together to help people rebuild.
Menasha showed us exactly what “people helping people” looks like in action.
While the doors to our new branch aren’t open yet, our commitment to this community has already begun. We want to be here for celebrations and milestones, but also for the moments when neighbors need one another most.
Bringing the Vision to Life
A project like this takes a lot of people working together, and we’re fortunate to have some incredible partners beside us.
Our longtime partners at Keller, Inc. are once again helping bring Unison’s vision to life. We’ve turned the first shovels of dirt, and now we can’t wait to watch the Keller team transform that dirt into Unison’s new home in Menasha.
We’re grateful for the welcome we’ve already received, excited about what’s ahead and proud that Menasha will soon be one of the communities Unison calls home.
